Brace yourselves, Vancouver, because the season of holiday markets, light displays, and themed festivities is coming up rather quickly. And one of the most beloved annual events in Vancouver has just announced its return: The magical Festival of Lights at VanDusen.

In just a month’s time, VanDusen Botanical Garden will transform into the ultimate holiday-themed destination, complete with over one million twinkling lights.

This year, the massive light displays will pay homage to the vibrant flora and fauna from BC’s endangered Garry Oak meadows, according to the City of Vancouver.

Guests can also enjoy the garden’s famed Dancing Lights, an immersive show full of spectacular lights in motion as they beam across the pond and treetops.

And if you’re hungry, you can savour some tasty treats from a variety of food vendors. If past years are any indication, we’re looking forward to more hot cocoa and mini donuts!

Finally, guests are encouraged to stop by the Scottish Shelter to light a candle and donate to Make-A-Wish, who helped make this magical event possible.
