It’s time to celebrate the success of Canadian universities as they proudly secure their spots in the World University Rankings for 2023.

The 2023 edition of the prestigious ranking was released today by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).

This global university ranking is the largest of its kind. It lists the top 2,000 universities out of 20,531 ranked institutions.

The CWUR doesn’t rely on surveys or university data submissions to get its results.

Instead, it evaluates the schools based on four key areas — education (25%), employability (25%), faculty (10%), and research (40%).

There were no Canadian schools in the top 10, but 40 of them earned a spot on the ranking of the 2,000 best universities worldwide.

Here are all of the Canadian schools included in the World University Rankings for 2023 and their spot on the list.
