Niagara Icewine Festival 

Indulge in delicious icewine and yummy food at this 3-weekend-long festival in Niagara. Running the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weekend in January, the Niagara Icewine Festival features a swanky gala, and discovery passes so you can try out icewines and foods from different wineries

When: January 12th – 14th, 19th – 21st, 26th – 28th, 2024

Winterlicious Toronto

This one is for the foodies! This Toronto-wide experience is less outdoorsy, with participating restaurants offering special three-course lunch and dinner menus ranging in various price points. It’s the perfect way to try some new cuisines this winter.

When: January 26th –February 8th, 2024

Fire and Ice Bracebridge

This Bracebridge festival has a downtown tube run that attracts locals and visitors from all around! Other activities range from beer gardens, ice sculpting, axe throwing and a kids carnival. Tickets run for this January 27th event for $10 per person (13 and up) and $5 per child (6 to 12 years old).

Stratford Winterfest

This annual family-friendly event is back for another year in Stratford. Last year’s itinerary included shoe showing, ice block building, busker shows, and so much more! This is the perfect weekend experience for families of all ages.

Winterloo 

More winter festival fun on January 27th – Winterloo in Waterloo! This free experience is for all ages running from 12 noon – 5 PM. Some of the many activities include meeting snow dogs, ice carving and snow sculptures.

Goderich Winterfest 

Goderich is more than just a beach town – it hosts one of the popular winter festivals as well! This annual event features trails of lights and lanterns, ice skating, and even a chilli competition! Yum!

When: February 2nd – 4th, 2024

Bon Soo

This winter festival has been running for 60 years in Sault Ste Marie! Bon Soo 2024 will feature some classic events such as the Bum Slide and Polar Bear Dip, and returning events from last year including the Polar Rush Urban Winter Obstacle Course, EDM Sno Bath, and Fire & Ice Hot Sauce Challenge. If you’re a music lover, there will also be a performance on February 7th from Canadian country singer Brett Kissel.

Hamilton Winterfest 

Residents of Hamilton and beyond look forward to this annual event – spanning from February 2nd – 19th. With a range of activities from tasting delicious food from restaurants and vendors, to family-friendly live performances, this festival is a must.

Winterlude Ottawa

Enjoy some winter fun in Canada’s capital! From February 2nd to 19th, Ottawa and Gatineau will host indoor and outdoor activities that showcase Indigenous culture, Canadian diversity and significant anniversaries. There will be over 200 shows, exhibits and activities ranging from winter cocktail making, a farmers market, and even gourmet food tours.
