We can’t believe the holiday season is almost around the corner! This year, you can start the celebrations early at the enchanting Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls.

This dazzling event is Canada’s largest free outdoor light festival and it transforms the entire area into a magical wonderland.

There are new interactive displays and themed illumination areas to experience this year, and you can explore them all on foot or from the comfort of your car.

Millions of lights illuminate the night, creating larger-than-life displays that will blow you away.

See over 75 installations at the Royal Promenade, Frosted Falls, Enchanted Forest, Great Canadian North, Dufferin Islands, and Niagara Parkway.

One of the festival’s new highlights is the “Sparkling Winter Lights” illumination show.

This mesmerizing display captures the essence of Canadian winters, from gentle snowfalls to the colourful aurora borealis over snowy landscapes.

You’ll even witness blizzards and the falls themselves frosted in a breathtaking spectacle.

Every evening throughout the festival, the five-minute lights show will play at 6 PM, 7 PM, and 8 PM,

It’s a sight you won’t want to miss, as the falls come alive with a symphony of colors.

When you’re ready to warm up with a hot drink, this new experience will totally delight your senses.


A new self-guided Hot Chocolate Trail will lead you to 17 stops featuring chocolatiers, chefs, and mixologists around the area.

Sip on classic combinations like mint, orange, and s’mores-infused hot chocolate, or get adventurous with inventive cocktails like Dulce De Leche and Naughty But Nice Hot Chocolate.

There are 23 unique and delicious flavors to try that are both non-alcoholic and alcoholic, for 51 nights!

Those who love a good fireworks show will get treated to 26 nights of fireworks displays on weekends and the December holidays.

So, if you’re ready for a big dose of twinkling winter magic, the festivities begin on November 18th.
