Wildly popular Wingstop chain opens next week & it’s the first of four new locations in Toronto

Attention, wing enthusiasts! The chicken wing chain that has taken the U.S. by storm is finally coming to Canada. Wingstop’s Toronto location is about to open its doors, and it is already planning to open more restaurants in the city.

According to Wingstop, its first Toronto spot is opening on June 29, at 2218 Bloor Street West. This will mark the first of 100 restaurants planned for its Canadian market.

Wingstop is known for its classic and boneless wings and crispy tenders, always cooked-to-order and hand sauced-and-tossed in fans’ choice of the brand’s 12 signature flavours, including sweet, savoury, and spicy varieties.

For its Canadian restaurants, the brand has a Honey Garlic flavour, which it says it crafted exclusively for us in Canada.

For the grand opening, it will start at 11 am and the first 100 guests who order in the restaurant on June 29 will win five free wings each week for one year!

Additionally, Wingstop has announced it will open four restaurants by the end of 2022, that is three in addition to the Bloor Street location.

They will be opening on Castlefield Ave, Church St, and Danforth Ave. No dates have been given for those openings as of yet – but we will keep you posted!

Originally founded in Texas way back in 1994, the award-winning concept has since expanded to more than 1,500 locations worldwide, some of which are owned by rapper Rick Ross.

So it looks like we Canadians have a whole lot of chicken wings in our future and Toronto will be the first to get a taste of what’s to come.
