If your new year’s resolution is to deepen your knowledge of wine & winemaking – we’ve got an exciting new concept launching in Vancouver to share with you. Wine lovers can soon take classes at this new wine school.

This Is Wine School is exactly how it sounds – a place for wine enthusiasts to gather and learn more about what goes into each bottle. In addition to offering public wine courses, the school also functions as a full-service wine consultant agency.

Led by three long-time sommeliers and WSET Diploma holders, the school will cover all corners of the industry, offering wine list development, staff training, and cellar consultancy. Most importantly, though, the school aims to make wine education accessible to all who are interested in deepening their knowledge.

The new concept will launch at 265 East Pender Street at the beginning of February, offering a mix of weekly Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) training courses and beginner-friendly “Alternative Wine Classes.” So whether you work in the hospitality industry and are seeking WSET accreditation, or simply looking to learn a thing or two about your next bottle of wine – there’s something for every wine enthusiast here.
