There’s nothing like curling up at a wine bar with a glass of your favourite pour and good company, especially during the colder months. So we’ve rounded up some of the coziest wine bars in the city to check out if you’re in search of a new favourite spot.
We’re starting off this list with a tried and true Gastown gem that a monthly rotating chef’s menu and an ever-changing list of natural pours that will have you reaching for your next glass every time.

Doubling as one of the only wineries in the city, La Fabrique is one of our go-to spots for a glass of satisfying vino no matter the season. In the summer, the patio makes the perfect spot to unwind with a tasting flight in hand, and during the colder months, the minimally designed space offers a cozy fireplace and plenty of nooks to curl up in.

The menu at Dachi changes is evver-changing, making your dining experience thoroughly exciting and rewarding. All of their ingredients are sourced from independent, local farmers – which means every dish is a unique creation. Come for the wine and sake, and stay for the warm meals and vibes.

This neighbourhood bistro and wine bar has a cozy covered patio and a larger outdoor seating area (courtesy of the adjacent South Granville Plaza West) adorned in fairy lights – and the indoor space oozes comfort in every corner. Situated in South Granville on West 13th, the intimate spot is the perfect place to pop in for a glass or two.

This intimate spot is tucked away in Gastown’s Blood Alley, serving a rotating menu of freshly shucked oysters and BC wine. In addition to their regular wine menu, keep an eye out for their regular wine flights!

As far as wine bars in Vancouver go, Grapes & Soda has got you covered when it comes to snack boards and charcuterie. And while we don’t typically frequent wine bars for the food necessarily, we definitely wouldn’t pass up on the Squash Miso Tonkotsu Ramen.

With happy hour from 2 to 5 p.m. every day, Novo is a great pick if you’re heading out on an emptier stomach. Their wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, charcuterie plates, pastas, Italian cocktails, and of course, a mix of Italian reds and whites make for an excellent spot for nearly any occasion.
