Larger-than-life shrubbery and sun? This summer the Calgary Zoo will introduce WildScapes, a picture-perfect experience that will be the only of its kind in all of Western Canada.
From 21-foot-tall giraffes and snakes made entirely of plants, this topiary event will feature large living sculptures that have been hand-crafted to look like familiar creatures.

Using flowers, succulents and everything in between, WildScapes is colourful, intricate and fun for the whole family.
“The zoo gardens will be home to 10 larger-than-life topiary-like sculptures or ‘WildScapes’, masterfully crafted into the shape of some of the world’s most stunning creatures,” they explain on their website.
“Our WildScapes will range from human height (perfect for selfies!) to colossal sized (perfect for walking through and admiring from below!)”
