The holiday season is just around the corner and what’s a better way to celebrate than with some light displays? The Woodland Park Zoo’s WildLanterns is a great deviation from your everyday red and white light displays. It’s an immersive experience featuring large animal and nature lanterns representing wild places from around the globe!

Kicking off on November 11th, WildLanterns is an opportunity to explore the zoo like never before. It’s a lantern festival unlike any in the Northwest due to its specific focus on nature and animals. No matter how old you are, you’re sure to be wowed by the size and diversity of the displays that the zoo and BECU create.

This year, you can wander through displays like All About Bugs, Garden Delights, A Walk Among African Animals, Asian Safari, and the Oceania Animal Odyssey. From bugs to lions, to tree kangaroos and more, you’ll find a display with your favorite animal. There’s also the Magical Memories Marketplace where you can pick up some gifts for your loved ones.

Another event happening this year is live traditional Chinese art performances. You’ll be able to watch Tianyu’s captivating performances which focus on traditional Chinese folk dances. There will also be food offerings if you get hungry after seeing the lights and watching the performances.

Tickets are on sale now and as always we recommend purchasing them ahead of time. What’s more, if you are a Woodland Park Zoo member you will receive 20% off your admission.
