While Team Canada gears up to dominate the Olympics, spectators are preparing to watch one of the “most memorable” opening ceremonies in history.
The stage is set, the athletes have arrived, and Paris has promised a show unlike anything the world has ever seen – but will your eyes be among the millions pointed at a screen?
Featuring bright lights and several firsts, the City of Love will officially kick off the 2024 Summer Games on Friday, July 26th – despite the first events taking place on Wednesday, the 24th.
With a parade down the Seine and a spectacular display at the Trocadéro, this year’s presentation will run for three and a half hours, all of which will be televised.
If of course, you’re tuning in from across the pond, there are several ways that you can enjoy it for free.
In addition to live broadcasts on Sportsnet, TSN and their subscription services (Sportsnet+ and TSN+) you can also catch the action on CBC’s website or CBC Gem at 10:30 am PT/1:30 pm ET.
Don’t have the Gem app and are without an account? Signing up is easy and won’t cost a dime – meaning you can stream without guilt or hassle.
Can’t watch Team Canada roll up to the Olympics this week?
The Paris Summer Games will run until August 11th, 2024 and conclude with a closing ceremony on the same date.
Don’t miss it, fans! It’s going to be “bold, original and unique.”
