Here's what's open and closed in Vancouver on Canada Day this year

Canada Day is a mere few days away, Vancouver! The good news is that most stores and attractions will remain open as usual, with the exception of government offices, municipal buildings, banks, and post offices. However, we recommend checking in with your fave local businesses, shops, and restaurants before Friday rolls around, as some may opt to close for the holiday.

Get ready for a ton of fun things to do this Canada Day & plan ahead for any closures that may affect your plans.

• Granville Island Public Market (open from 9 am to 6 pm, individual stores vary)
• Science World (open from 10 am to 4 pm)
• Vancouver Art Gallery (tickets currently available between noon and 7 pm)
• Vancouver Aquarium (tickets currently available between 9:30 am and 3:45 pm)
• Pharmacies (varying by location)
• Canadian Tire
• Home Depot (modified hours)
• Translink bus, SkyTrain, and Seabus services (operating on Sunday/holiday schedule)
• 7-Eleven (open 24 hours)
• BC Liquor Stores (most open from 11 am to 6 pm)
