Lights, camera, action: Here’s what’s filming in Metro Vancouver this winter

If you like to keep up with what’s filming in and around Vancouver, then this list is for you. Hollywood North is back in full swing in winter 2024, and it’s shaping up to be a busy year ahead. From season 4 of Superman & Lois to Final Destination 6, here are some of the biggest shows & movies filming in Metro Vancouver right now.

Final Destination 6: Bloodlines

This Final Destination reboot will dive deep into the life of William Bludworth, a character that has raised questions throughout the franchise. The film will commence filming at 810 – 2400 Boundary Road, Burnaby on March 4th and will wrap on May 13th. 

Superman & Lois – Season 4

Filming in Richmond this month is the fourth instalment of CW’s Superman & Lois, and the series has reportedly introduced Australian actor Michael Bishop as the new Jonathon Kent. Filming is already underway until April 22nd – so, if you’re curious to see Tyler Hoechlin’s new Superman costume up close, you know here’s where the action will be.

Alert – Season 2

Filming from now until July 18th (at 4210 Phillips Avenue, Burnaby), Alert is a character-driven series set in the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit. The show follows a police officer who helps people find their loved ones while she searches for her own son.

Virgin River – Season 6

This popular BC-shot series focuses on a nurse practitioner’s big move from LA to a remote, northern Californian town, where chaos ensues. New filming locations in Vancouver, Burnaby, and Langley were just added to Netflix in Your Neighbourhood. Locations in Burnaby include Burnaby Mountain Park, Burnaby Art Gallery, Hart House Restaurant, and Deer Lake.

The Recruit – Season 2

Produced by Graymail Productions, The Recruit is a thriller series starring Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Perfect Date) and Laura Haddock (Transformers: The Last Knight, White Lines). The show is about how a new CIA lawyer gets caught up in a dangerous web of international politics.

The series will be filming at 210 – 555 Brooksbank Avenue (Building 10) in North Vancouver until March 21st.
