Sports lovers, this is a huge week for you. That’s because not one, but two of the city’s biggest sports teams are returning for home games at BC Place. Both the BC Lions and the Vancouver Whitecaps have games this week, so we thought we’d give you a crash course on what to expect!

First up are the Lions, which have their first home game in over 600 days tomorrow (Thursday, September 19th). They’ll be facing off against the Edmonton Elks, after barely losing to the Roughriders and beating the Stampeders. So, we’ve got high hopes that their home opener will be just as exciting!

Then, later this week, the Vancouver Whitecaps will play against the Los Angeles Football Club for their first true home game in over 500 days. They’ve had a rocky season so far, but we’re hoping that getting back in front of the home crowd will give them the energy they need. Plus, they’ve teamed up with Bell to give away free t-shirts to every fan at the fame!

Of course, there are a few new rules in place for BC Place in general. These include reduced capacity, socially-distant seating plans, and a new cashless system for purchasing food and merchandise while you’re there. If you’d like to check those out in full, just click here.

Otherwise, enjoy the games, folks!
