There’s a new breakfast joint in town. Wendy’s has announced that it will be serving breakfast in Canada starting this spring and the chain claims that its menu will give competitors a run for their money.

“Say goodbye to dry English muffins, stale breakfast sandwiches, and see-through bacon,” says a press release from Wendy’s.

Instead, you can get used to “freshly cracked Canadian eggs on every sandwich, savoury Applewood smoked bacon freshly cooked in every restaurant every day, and biscuits served warm from the oven.”

Plus, it wouldn’t be a breakfast menu without coffee, and Wendy’s plans to deliver “meticulously crafted […] custom blended coffee made specifically for Canadian customers.”

The menu will also feature breakfast-inspired twists on some of their most popular orders like the Baconator.

With the breakfast launch on the horizon, Wendy’s is now hiring 1,600 new staff members in Canada to serve up the new menu at the 400 restaurants operating across the country.

The full menu will be revealed in the coming weeks, and we must admit that our mouths are watering at the thought of it.
