Brand new European-style food hall to open in downtown Toronto

One of Toronto’s highly anticipated dining hubs, Waterworks Food Hall is officially opening this July. The European-style food hall will be home to more than 20 different food stalls, a sit-down restaurant and much more.

Mark your calendars for July 3rd at 11 AM! The massive Waterworks Food Hall, located at 499 Richmond Street West, will welcome hungry guests after months of anticipation.

The 55,000 sq. ft. space has been repurposed as a European-style food hall and will host more than 20 different food stalls featuring culinary favourites from around the world, according to the establishment.

Expect food stalls like Aburi SushiHarry’s Charbroiled and Musoshin Ramen. Expect drink offerings from Grape WitchesCivil Works and Boxcar Social, too.

There’s also 12,000 sq. ft. of private event spaces, and two stand-alone fronts: Lee Restaurant from chef Susur Lee, and SOBR Market, downtown Toronto’s first non-alcoholic bottle shop.

“We are committed to preserving and revitalizing architectural landmarks that enhance the attraction and livability of Toronto’s neighbourhoods, and we are so pleased to be opening the Waterworks Food Hall in the King West community,” said Eve Lewis, President and CEO of Woodcliffe Landmark Properties, back in April.

“This project has been a true labour of love for us, and we are so proud of how it turned out.”

These are just some of the many vendors to expect when you visit this June:

More vendors will be announced closer to when the food hall opens.

Following the recent openings at The Well including its Wellington Market, the announcement of Waterworks Food Hall’s launch adds another exciting chapter to Toronto’s culinary landscape.

It’s safe to say Toronto loves food halls. And we certainly can’t wait to try them all.
