Looking to close out summer on the waterfront? Pier 62 is the place to be. Seattle’s Waterfront Park has gone big this summer with WABA, Caribbean Sea Fest, Xopantla Tianquiztli Festival and now the Waterfront Block Party which is set to take over downtown. Here’s when you can enjoy it and what to expect.

The Waterfront Block Party is happening for one day only on Friday, September 1st from 1 PM to 8 PM. The event is put on by Friends of Waterfront Seattle and is meant to gather Seattleites in a celebration that extends all along the downtown waterfront.

The third annual Waterfront Block Party promises to be even bigger than years past, with multiple spots along the shoreline featuring events-  all the way from the Olympic Sculpture Park, to Pier 62, to Occidental Park. You’ll find “live music, dance, parades, food trucks, family-friendly crafts, and more.”

If you want to make a whole day of it you can start at Olympic Sculpture Park and enjoy programming from Seattle Art Museum. Then head over to Pier 62 for the main action with food trucks, a beer garden and fun for all ages. That being said, anywhere you visit along the way is sure to be great too.

Best of all, this event is totally free to partake in and does not require tickets. With that, enjoy!
