Well folks, Washington just got a little more recognition for being a beautiful state. Because The Cascade Loop just got a National Scenic Byway designation. So if you haven’t taken a road trip in a while, now might just be the time.
The Cascade Loop which encompasses parts of Highway 20 to the north and Highway 2 to the south is now federally recognized for being pretty. But hey, us Washingtonians already knew that. That being said, it’s actually a pretty big deal because the last time a road in Washington got recognized like this was in 2005.
So give it up for The Cascade Loop. And obviously, if you haven’t checked it out, now is a perfect time. The loop is 440 miles long and takes you through the North Cascades, multiple counties, and even islands. It’s truly something to see.
if you’d like to learn more about the designation you can click here. And if you end up taking a drive we can almost guarantee you that you’ll take a few, maybe a few hundred pictures. After all, Washington really goes all out when it comes to natural beauty.
