The cherry blossoms may be on their way out but the rest of the state’s blooms are on the way in. Between wildflowers and now the Washington State Apple Blossom Festival, there’s plenty to see. Here’s what to expect from one of spring’s sweetest festivals.

The festival runs for over a week and is a celebration of apple blossoms, the beginning of stage one of the fruits that Washington produces the most of. It also happens to be the oldest major festival in the state of Washington, with the first festival happening in 1920. So if you love apples, state history, and spring you definitely don’t want to miss this!

The festival has all sorts of events for attendees to enjoy. Check out events like a food fair featuring eats from Kaleenka Piroshky, Keep it in the Valley Funnel Cakes, Ali’i Hawaiin Shave Ice, and more. There’s also a massive carnival (America’s 7th largest), live performances and even eating contests. That’s not all though, there’s seriously an event for everyone and you need to view the calendar for yourself.

Best of all, there’s no main ticket to attend the festival. That being said, there are individual tickets for things like the carnival so make sure you know which events you’d like to attend. Enjoy folks and happy spring!
