If you’re looking for a workplace known for diversity, look no further. Newsweek has released “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024” and several Washington-based employers are on their list.

According to Newsweek, companies in today’s workforce recognize that a diverse team contributes significantly to organizational success.

“Diverse workforces cultivate creativity and innovation that stem from a mix of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds, fostering a dynamic environment where new ideas come to life,” states Newsweek’s Nancy Cooper.

Cooper adds that job seekers, especially younger ones, also look for employers who prioritize diversity and inclusion.

Newsweek says its scoring process involved a “thorough examination of publicly available data, interviews with HR professionals, and an anonymous online survey conducted among a diverse group of employees at companies in the U.S.”

Those who responded shared insights into corporate culture, the working environment, and other aspects of their companies, and they had over 1.5 million company reviews.

Large companies have over 5,000 employees, while mid-sized ones employ more than 1,000 but less than 5,000.
