VIFF has a wonderous movie lineup for the holidays and here’s what’s playing

Prepare to fall into a world of fantasy and enchantment. Where plights are heroic and mischief lurks at every turn. VIFF just announced their winter programming series, and the films are downright magical.

Drumroll, please…

VIFF’s holiday series is called, The Wonders: Fairy Tales, Folklore & Fantasy

This is a lineup of timeless tales and once-upon-a-time stories. There are spells and witchery, trials of true love and tales of enduring friendship. This means you can embrace the magic of holidays with some of the most famous fairy tales of all time.

Experience storytelling from Hans Christian Andersen, the Brothers Grimm, Scheherazade, Walt Disney, Jean Cocteau, Guillermo del Toro, Tim Burton and Steven Spielberg, to name only a few!

The Greater Vancouver International Film Festival Society was founded in 1982 and operates as a not-for-profit cultural organization. They are responsible for the internationally acclaimed Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) and the year-round programming of the theatres at the VIFF Centre.

This year they’re all about enhancing the magic of the holidays with classic stories and time-tested favourites. Youth tickets for family-friendly films are offered at the special price of only $8. You can buy individual tickets, or ticket packs if you plan on attending multiple screenings.

Check out the full VIFF holiday season lineup and get your tickets online. If you spot something you want to see, don’t wait for the seats to sell out!

Much like real-life magical moments, they won’t be here forever.

You can also score $5 off up to two adult tickets for “The Wonders” at the VIFF Centre! Pop in the code VFC23WONDERS in the discounts box at checkout to snag the deal.
