The Lunar New Year is just around the corner, with several celebrations planned across Seattle. And we’re bringing you one more. Tết in Seattle – a Vietnamese Lunar New Year Celebration, takes place over two days at the start of February and here’s what to know.

Seattle Center Festál presents Tết in Seattle – a Vietnamese Lunar New Year Celebration, on February 3rd and 4th, 2024. According to organizers, this is Seattle’s “largest annual Tết festival.”

“We are happy to finally be coming back with more of your favorite vendors, performances, and festivities,” they add.

This year, you can expect live performances, Lion Dances, local food vendors, art exhibits, a fashion show, hands-on activities for the kids, and family-oriented events for all to enjoy.

As well, the festival will be hosting their annual Health Fair which will offer free screenings (blood pressure, diabetes, etc.) and other services.

The festival is free for the public to enjoy.

Tết In Seattle (T-I-S) organizes the annual Tết Festival as part of Seattle Center’s Festál world cultural program.

“The Tết Festival celebrates the cultural roots of Vietnamese-Americans through the celebration of Tết, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, by presenting, promoting, and providing hands-on experience in the arts, musics, performances, and foods that are unique to Vietnam,” states their website.
