We love us a good patio, even in the winter. So we’re always on the hunt for the next fabulous heated patio, and this new one is for your ‘must visit’ list this winter. Check out Via Allegro’s brand new outdoor, heated, glass atrium.

Located across from Sherway Gardens, you may have heard of Via Allegro because it’s impressive wine collection, which is comprised of 70,000 bottles, valued at $10 million!

Or perhaps you have seen its tableside experiences on social media, like its crowd-pleasing parmesan wheel pasta prep.

Either way, you’ll now want to head there for their new patio. Not only is it lush and full of colour, it only seats 32 guests. The intimate experience will make you feel like you’re surrounded by nature, and the restaurant says it gets even better when it’s snowing.

Recently, MasterChef Canada judge Claudio Aprile (Culinary Director) and Marco Zandona (Executive Chef) joined forces to create Via Allegro’s new menu.

Their menu includes a blend of classic Italian cuisine with inspiration from Japan, Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean.

As for the impressive wine list, their sommelier Wendy Votto will sift through the “phone book–size list to find the right recommendation for every occasion.”

Other tableside experiences include the Lamb Speducci served over smoking coals, the scallop crudo over a steaming plate dry ice, and the chocolate dome filled with liquid nitrogen that you can smash to reveal an assortment of macarons and fresh fruit.

Honestly, just seat us at that patio and we’re happy.
