Heads up, thrill seekers! Earlier this week, the Vancouver amusement park Playland announced that it will be opening for weekends starting this May. Playland has long been a top summer option in the city, and they’re committed to keeping that track record this summer. So, let’s see what they have in mind.

Of course, the amusement park will have some serious guidelines and measures in place to prioritize public health. This includes a significantly reduced capacity in the park and enhanced cleaning procedures. Also, face masks will be required in all lines and on all rides.

So with safety measures out of the way, let’s move on to the actual rides. Playland is planning to open a significant number of both the children and adult rides. And, the list includes everything from Canada’s craziest pendulum ride to the always terrifying wooden roller coaster.

Heck, roaring around on that creaky old thing is worth the price of admission alone, in our eyes. You can hit up the amusement park Saturday and Sunday throughout the month of May. Then, if things go according to plan, the hours and days will be expanded for the rest of summer.

Have some safe fun out there, folks!
