The Vancouver International Mountain Film Fest kicks off today

Winter might be winding down (hopefully), but this is a great way to cap it off. The Vancouver International Mountain Film Fest kicks off in the city today, with both in-person and virtual options to enjoy. Here’s what to know about it.

Back for its 25th anniversary, VIMFF is offering more than 50 films about, you guessed it, mountain sports. The lineup includes films focused on climbing, skiing, environmental issues, and more. Check out feature films, settle back for a whole night of shorts, or enjoy some creator talks alongside them.

However, if there’s one part worth seeing time and time again, it’s the ‘Best Of’ series. Wrapping up the festival next week, these events will showcase all the award winners and jury selections from the entire lineup. Basically, it’s the all-star show, and will appeal to any kind of mountain enthusiast.

The Vfest kicks off today (Friday, February 25th) and will be on for an entire week. For more information and to get your tickets, just click the link below.
