This Toronto duo is opening the city’s first Vegas style elopement chapel

One thing about me is that I go back and forth all the time on if I want a traditional wedding, or a wild Vegas chapel elopement with all the funky fixings. My friends are no different, with the only setback being making the trip to Vegas to do so. Hannah Stein and Victoria Wild, a pair of best friends living in Toronto, recognized that in this day and age many couples would rather a Vegas style elopement to cut costs and thus, Two of Hearts Chapel was born.

“My fiancé, Liam, and I got engaged three years ago and we never liked any of our options in Toronto or even Ontario,” Hannah Stein, co-founder of Two of Hearts Chapel, shares.

“We wanted a small wedding and then maybe a party afterward. After exploring our options, we landed on getting married at city hall, not ideal, and doing a small party. But even the party was going to be out of our budget, and frankly, city hall is a little cookie cutter aesthetically for us. We wanted the colourful, campy, Vegas style wedding, but really didn’t want to travel,” she continues.

Instead of using the money they had saved up for a wedding, Stein says she decided to use the money to open exactly what she was hoping to find, herself.

“We’re taking any money we had saved for the wedding and are investing it into the chapel and plan to be the first ones to get married there, a real full circle moment,” Stein explains.

While the idea was great, taking the next steps is always the hardest part. But like any person looking for the opinions of others, the pair took it to TikTok.

“My best friend, Vic, and I wanted to open the chapel and knew there would be interest, but we are blown away by the amount of support we received within the first five days of starting the TikTok. Hundreds of comments from people that felt the same way as Liam and I.”

Hooked yet? I know I was, as I was one of those hundreds of people that saw the video on my TikTok feed and thought, that’s an incredible idea! While the two don’t have a building secured yet, they say everything should be in place by the end of 2025.

“Our next biggest hurdle will be renting out a storefront in downtown Toronto,” Stein shares. “We are working with a fantastic commercial real estate agent, Matt Woods, who is helping us find a home for Two of Hearts.”

You can get ahead of the rush and join the waitlist for a wedding date at Two of Hearts Chapel now, however.

According to Stein, “For now, we are taking any waitlist requests through our email twoofheartschapel@gmail.com. Once our website is up, people will be able to book directly through the website and build their elopement package to suit their vibe. We will be offering a number of different packages ranging from legal ceremony to non-legal ceremonies to renting it out for wedding photos or having a late night Vegas style drop-ins, truly we have so many fun things planned. And of course, we will be pet friendly.”

If you’re eagerly awaiting more details, you can keep up on Two of Hearts’ TikTok and Instagram accounts, both @twoofheartschapel.

Your dream elopement is closer than you think, Toronto.
