Canada’s beloved Asian supermarket chain is opening a new location in Ontario! T&T Supermarkets just announced that its newest location will be in the Ottawa region, and here’s what to know about its exciting new opening.

T&T Supermarkets will open its second Ottawa area storefront in Kanata. The 38,000-square-foot store is slated to open in the Winter of 2024.

“Adding a new store in Ottawa was an easy decision. If you’ve ever visited the T&T on Hunt Club on a Saturday morning, you’ll know it’s packed to the brim,” said Tina Lee, Chief Executive Officer of T&T.

According to Lee, thanks to their online delivery service, they were able to tell that many of their orders were coming from the Kanata area, so the decision made sense.

As for where it will be located, per the release, Kanata’s Hazeldean Mall will house the supermarket.

“Over the past few months, we have received so many inquiries about rumours of our new Kanata location. We haven’t been able to comment until now, but today we are so thrilled to confirm that the rumours are true,” said Jimmy Wen, T&T District Manager. ”

What can Kanata residents expect once the location opens? As in all of its locations, the new T&T Supermarket will showcase its huge range of Asian snacks and gifts, produce, seafood, bakery, and self-serve hot meal options like T&T’s famous Chinese crepes.

“Kanata is a growing community, with talent coming from all over the country – this new store is going to be a great experience for them,” said Wen.

Now we just have to wait in anticipation. So until then, online orders will have to do!
