Calgary is holding a city-wide 'treasure hunt' where you can get a ton of neat items for FREE

Summer may be coming to an end, but it’s the perfect time for a treasure hunt! This September, Calgary, Alberta will kick off a citywide ‘garage sale’ and you won’t want to miss your chance to snag some FREE goodies.
If you’d like to participate, mark your calendars for the 7th and 8th!
Those who want to shop or find a new home for an old item will be encouraged to follow these five easy steps:
- Gather that you no longer need but are in good condition
- Label items with a “free” tag
- Place items out at the curb
- Explore your neighbourhood and pick up items you find interesting or useful
- Remove leftover items from the curbside following the event
Sound easy? That’s because it is—plus it’ll be an absolute blast!
“By participating, Calgarians would contribute meaningfully to minimize waste and reuse items,” said Natalia Gonzalez, Waste Diversion Specialist for The City of Calgary.
“It’s also a fun community event that benefits everyone, whether you’re decluttering your home or searching for your next great treasure find”
Talk about a win-win!
Heck, maybe we’ll see you out there.
After all, one person’s junk could be another family’s heirloom!
Get sorted and enjoy.
