Long Beach’s highlights included its 28 miles of sandy beach, State Parks as well as two historic lighthouses, cranberry bogs, and oyster farms. It is also home to The Washington State International Kite Festival, which is the largest and longest running Kite Festival in North America.
While it is a city, Long Beach has classic beach town charm and you can visit the Marsh’s Free Museum, as well as walk on its famous boardwalk.
A perfect family destination during the summer, Ocean Shores is a laid-back coastal community that has a lot of activities in case you want more than just a beach day. You’ll find a golf course, beachcombing, horseback riding, paddle boarding, and kayaking at Ocean Shores, and there are local restaurants to enjoy as well.
Seabrook is a vibrant beach town and an “award winning destination on the Washington coast.” While in Seabrook, you can check out Mocrocks beach, and take in the breathtaking sunsets.
This cozy little beach town on the Washington Coast is perfect for surfing, fishing, and beaches! In Westport, you can also visit the Westport Maritime Museum, Grays Harbor Lighthouse, the International Mermaid Museum, and The Cranberry Museum.
Known for its abundance of wildlife, beaches and of course the ferry ride you take to get there, Friday Harbor is also close to world renowned whale watching destination, Lime Kiln. And if you’re looking for a beach, Jackson Beach is long and sandy, and is located just two miles from downtown Friday Harbor.
