This scenic small town has a promenade along one of BC’s ‘most storied’ beaches

If your ideal summer day consists of lounging at the beach and strolling down a scenic walkway, we’ve got just the small town for you to visit. Qualicum Beach is a must-visit in BC, right up there with the popular white-sand beaches of Tofino and Ucluelet.

The quaint beach town has over 4 kilometres of soft, sandy beaches to explore, with a scenic, paved promenade for visitors to enjoy during high tide that leads to one of BC’s most ‘storied’ beaches.

Along the promenade, visitors can take advantage of plenty of picnic tables, shady trees, washrooms, and parking lots for convenient access.

On the west end of the waterfront area, there’s the Seaside Nature Park with a 180-degree viewpoint from an elevated platform, often used by photographers and birdwatchers.

Want to extend your visit? There are plenty of enchanting waterfalls to chase and lakes to take a dip in at the nearby Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park.

So there you have it, beach lovers! Consider stopping at this scenic small town during your next trip to the Island.
