Toronto’s New Year’s fireworks show is still on & here are the best viewing spots

Well, the final night of 2021 may not be panning out as we’d hoped, but Toronto’s New Year’s Eve fireworks show is still going full steam ahead! The City announced today that the high-altitude display is still happening as planned.

The fireworks will launch simultaneously at midnight at various spots along the city’s waterfront. You’ll only be able to see them along the lake, so if you plan on hitting up Nathan Philips Square for the Cavalcade of Lights, don’t be disappointed if you don’t catch a glimpse.

The City has also lined up a series of bands with pre-recorded shows as part of their year-end concert series, which you can view from home here starting at 10:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, followed by a live stream of the fireworks.
