Clearly, this guy really wanted his five seconds of fame. Global News weather reporter Anthony Farnell was in the midst of his segment last Friday when his fluffy companion, “Storm the Weather Dog,” decided to live up to his name and storm right onto the set!

Farnell tried his best to carry on with his forecast, but Storm’s cute face and wagging tail proved a bit hard to ignore. “Yes, Storm is in the building, getting some treats, walking on thin air,” he said, as the pup wandered in front of a green screen background of a blue sky.

The best part is that Storm was in no hurry to leave and actually stuck around for the remainder of Farnell’s weather report, gazing up expectantly at his owner — presumably waiting for another treat.

At one point he even tried to jump and catch one in his mouth. Farnell wrapped up with his dog walking forecast, and to the viewers at home he said, “Storm says hi.”

The news outlet posted a clip of the hilarious segment on their YouTube channel. “Anthony finished his segment without a hitch while Storm sated his hunger (and mugged a bit for the camera)…all in a day’s work,” they wrote in the caption.

The video has gotten over 86,000 views as of Tuesday afternoon since it was posted to the channel on Monday. From the comment, it’s clear that many people were amused and delighted by Storm’s cameo. “TV news broadcasts everywhere should be required to have random dog cameos,” reads one comment. We could not agree more!
