While March is just a few days away, winter is not done yet. And as of Thursday morning, Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for the city of Toronto.

According to the weather advisory, snowfall of up to 10 cm is expected in Toronto, and it will be heavy at times.

Yes, it’s sunny as of right now, but the storm is expected to roll through later tonight and into Friday morning.

“A developing low pressure centre will bring a swath of snow to the region tonight into Friday morning. The Friday morning will likely be impacted due to snow falling heavy at times,” states the advisory.

Environment Canada is warning motorists that they should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.

“Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas,” it states.

Toronto is expecting a high of -4°C on Thursday, before the temperatures drop to -8°C tonight. It will feel more like -15°C when the snow is expected to fall.

Friday’s high will reach -3°C, as snow continues to fall. While it will be clear on Friday night, temperatures will dip to a chilly -12°C.

So bundle up if you’re heading out tonight!
