Extreme cold has arrived in our city for what feels like the first time this season, but don’t worry, it won’t last long. The Toronto weather forecast shows that the city will warm up by nearly 30°C in the span of just a few days.
According to The Weather Network (TWN), a polar vortex is blasting us with Arctic air today and into the weekend.
In Toronto, temperatures will plunge to -22°C overnight, feeling like -30°C — an extreme cold weather alert has been issued in the city.
However, milder weather will make a gradual return in the coming days, and TWN says that “above-normal” temperatures will quickly spread across Canada in the second week of February.

On Tuesday, February 7th, Toronto weather will reach a high of 5°C, according to the current forecast.
Daytime highs will remain in the positive digits throughout the week and into the following week as well.
As for what the remainder of February has in store, it looks like milder weather will continue to hold strong.
From mid and late February, “above-normal temperatures are expected to dominate from the Great Lakes to Atlantic Canada,” the outlet says.
However, this region will also experience some active storm activity, with “snow, ice and even rain” expected later this month.
February is “a month that will be fickle with changeable temperatures,” and at this point, it looks like March will be similar.
