Toronto hotels & spas among the 2023 Forbes Travel Guide Star Award Winners

The 65th annual Forbes Travel Guide is out and it has revealed its 2023 Star Awards winners – boasting a list of the world’s most luxurious hotels, restaurants, spas, and new addition, ocean cruises. Among them, over 10 Toronto hotels and spas have earned stars, two of which were given five stars for the first time.

The recognized Forbes Travel Guide, known for its worldwide rating system of luxury hotels, restaurants, and spas has revealed this year’s winners.

In order to compile the list, Forbes Travel Guide’s inspectors went incognito to “check into hotels and cruise ships, dine in the restaurants, and experience spa services”, according to the report. They did this all while posing as regular guests.

According to Forbes, the inspectors test up to 900 standards, like whether a room is “set up to enhance sleep quality” or if the food and drink choices “support a guest’s well-being,” amongst many others.

This year, the list features 48 new Five-Star hotels, 64 new Four-Star properties, and 45 new recommended hotels.

As for Toronto, 12 hotels, spas, and even restaurants received stars while two restaurants were recommended to try:

  • Four Seasons Hotel Toronto
  • The Hazelton Hotel
  • The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto
  • Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto
  • The Spa at Four Seasons Toronto
  • The Spa at The St. Regis Toronto
  • The St. Regis Toronto

4-stars

  • Canoe
  • Scaramouche
  • Spa at The Hazelton
  • Spa myBlend at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto
  • TOCA Restaurant

Recommended

  • Café Boulud Toronto
  • ONE Restaurant

A total of 14 Toronto establishments were mentioned in the list – two of which earned five stars, according to Forbes, The Spa at The St. Regis Toronto and The St. Regis Toronto.

The city is already home to one of the best hotels in the world, world-class Michelin Guide-recommended dining, and more. This is just another win for Toronto’s most recognized stays, luxury spas, and eateries we simply adore.
