This year is the most important year in a while for us to be paying attention to our hospitals. After all of the hard work these places and their employees have put in as we combat the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a list has just come out ranking the best hospitals around the world. To no surprise, Toronto General Hospital nabbed a top spot.

For the third year in a row, Toronto General Hospital is making us proud. This year, they’ve been placed in the number 4 spot worldwide, the second consecutive year of earning that title. On top of that, they are the only Canadian hospital to make the top 10.

Other Canadian hospitals to be recognized (in the top 100) include Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in 26th place, Mount Sinai Hospital in 30th, and North York General in 59th.

The ranking was put together by Newsweek in collaboration with Statista. They took over 2,000 hospitals from 25 different countries into consideration. The winners stood out for their “distinguished physicians, top-notch nursing care and state-of-the-art technology”
