Cameras at the ready! The Toronto Dragon Festival returns this Labour Day weekend with an “unprecedented” water show to surprise and delight the city.

Put on by the Canadian Association of Chinese Performing Arts, this year’s festival promises to be even more spectacular than previous years.

“The first-ever The Reflection Water Show will land on Toronto’s iconic Reflecting Pool in Nathan Phillips Square in a much more spectacular fashion,” the description says.

The water show will be performed by “highly professional artists and elite entertainers,” the festival says. Ambient lighting and colourful costumes will create “stunning visual spectacles that will capture and awe-inspire audiences.”

Plus, visitors can look forward to demonstrations by talented Kung Fu masters, a “Walk-On-Water runway fashion show” and of course, the festival’s incredible dragon and lion dances.

No cultural festival is complete without food, and there will be plenty of delicious Asian street foods to try at the Toronto Dragon Festival.

You’ll also get to witness the masters at work in a variety of traditional Chinese practices including Tai-chi and fine arts such as handcrafts, calligraphy, and painting.

This is easily one of the most vibrant and exciting cultural events in Toronto, and that says a lot for a city that’s known for its diversity!
