Blue Jays fans can soon enjoy a rooftop patio as Rogers Centre unveils its modernized ballpark (PHOTOS)

The Toronto Blue Jays have unveiled the latest update into what’s to come for the Rogers Centre, including a rooftop patio, new terraces, bars and lounges.

Jays fans will be able to enjoy the stadium to its fullest once the 2023 Home Opener kicks off on April 11. The new updates are part of the first phase of the multi-million dollar renovations planned for the Rogers Centre.

These new upgrades are expected to turn the stadium into a ballpark “through a series of projects focused on modernizing the fan experience and building world-class player facilities.”

Get ready to explore four new “outfield neighbourhoods” and three new group spaces, all with their own theme, menu offerings, design and more.

Here’s what you can expect at the Rogers Centre:

Corona Rooftop Patio 

The Corona Rooftop patio will be located on the 500L right field and will serve as the perfect summertime hang-out. It will have a delicious summer patio menu, Corona products, frozen cocktails, and more.

Park Social 

On the opposite side of the rooftop patio, you’ll find the Park Social (500L left field). Described as a “park within the park”, this will be a designated spot for fans of all ages to just hang out and enjoy games. Fans can expect food truck-style eats like bacon-pepper grilled cheese, brownie sundaes, and milkshakes.

The Stop 

Located in the 100L center field behind the batter’s eye, this new bar will serve as a great hub to grab a drink with friends before the first pitch. Inspired by the TTC, its design resembles one of the many subway stops we use every day. The menu will feature diverse food offerings and quick drinks. Expect great eats like Jamaican beef patties, banh mi sandwiches, and signature cocktails.

The Catch Bar 

The Catch Bar will be located on the 100L above the visitors’ bullpen. This modern bar will be a little more on the sophisticated side, serving classic cocktails and small bites. You can expect menu items like mac and cheese with Montreal smoked meat, Cuban sandwiches, and brioche pretzel bites.

As for the three new group spaces, they will serve as hubs for fans to enjoy unique event options the next time they’re at the ball park. They will be available to all ticketed fans when they are not reserved for groups.

WestJet Flight Deck

Sporting a brand new look, the WestJet Flight Deck has a brewery-style refresh with new food and drink options like BBQ brisket and jerk chicken nachos.

200L Terrace 

The 200L terrace is a new addition with direct bar access. The new space is the best spot to catch the game directly over right field.

100L Mezzanine

Located right beside the visitor bullpen is the new 100L Mezzanine. It has a capacity of about 50 to 60 fans.
