Canada is ending off the year strong thanks to another ranking looking at the top city destinations in the world, of 2022. After analyzing and listing 100 different cities, only one Canadian spot made the first 30 – well, barely.
Euromonitor International has released its Top 100 City Destinations Index 2022, and it reviews leading cities that have improved their “economic and business activity, support thriving tourism infrastructure and performance, and show great potential for investment and operation amid increased digitalization, technological advancement, and sustainability developments.”
According to the report, Paris came in first as the world’s top city in 2022, followed by Dubai in second and Amsterdam in third. About 40 cities in Europe dominate the list but at the very last minute, this Canadian hotspot managed to snag a position on the ranking.

None other Toronto made the cut, coming in 29th place.
