This Vancouver coffee brand is transforming with its stunning new locations

If we’re being honest, the look of a coffee shop probably factors more into our deciding to visit than we’d care to admit, for better or worse. So, the recent Artigiano location in Vancouver has piqued our curiosity, since it’s a far cry from what we’ve been used to these past years.

To start, the coffee was (and is) delicious. But, we couldn’t help but feel like a parent from West Van every time we stopped by a location. The bold red colours, the opulent seating, and usually some kind of exposed brick mixed in there was a potent combo. Great for the 2000s, but maybe not the 2020s.

Anyway, that all changed last month when they opened their Mount Pleasant location. By tapping into the Vancouver Mural Fest’s artist roster, the new spot features ample lighting, some modern furniture, and a pair of stunning murals from local artist Peter Ricq.

And, Artigiano is just getting started! They’re hoping to take over more defunct coffee shops in the city, and start offering custom merch based on the artwork they put up.

Now that’s stepping into the modern age! And, we look forward to checking it out ourselves.
