We are, without a doubt, suckers for Vancouver’s all-day cafes and bars. So, we’re super excited to have found Maxine’s Cafe and Bar, which just opened in the West End! As the newest sibling restaurant of Homer Street Cafe, we have a feeling that Maxine’s is going to become a staple in the neighbourhood.

Inspired by upscales cafes from New York to Paris, Maxine’s mixes classic grab and go options with more refined fare. So, you can scoop a quick muffin and a coffee if you’re in a rush, or try out one of their delicious entrees. It’s been a long while since we’ve seen steak and eggs on a menu, and actually wanted to try it.

Maxine’s is currently only open for takeout and delivery, but we’re sure that they’ll have a patio up and running sooner or later. If not, we might just have to swing by there and have a little takeout picnic nearby. After all, these cafes are supposed to be romantic spots, and we need to keep the spirit alive.

If you want to as well, then check out Maxine’s website for more info! Happy dining, folks.
