What’s better than a Krispy Kreme doughnut? A free one, of course! To celebrate its first year of being open, Scarborough’s Krispy Kreme shop will give you an original glazed doughnut on the house. You’ll want to drop everything and run to get in on this sweet offer because it’s only available on Wednesday, August 25th!
The doughnut shop announced the deal on Instagram just before 9 a.m. this morning and we’re sure it’s only a matter of time before we see lineups like last year when this location first opened.
Krispy Kreme had quite a moment back in the spring of 2020 when people waited in ridiculously long drive-thru lines just to get their hands on the treats at the brand new Mississauga shop.

The doughnut chain is also famous for its limited-time flavours and all sorts of creative themes. Just recently, the chain released its carnival doughnut collection — Caramel Popcorn, Cotton Candy, and Caramel Apple.
And when it comes to freebies, Krispy Kreme likes to be generous. A few months back, Canadians were given free doughnuts for presenting their proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
The Scarborough location is open today until 10 p.m., so you better cancel your evening plans or convince your friends to tag along. We’re sure it won’t take too much convincing!
