Ah yes, Vancouver’s crazy housing market. Scary to think about, fun to look at. We’re back this week with another exceptional home for you to check out. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to live in one of the insane houses along South Granville, you’re about to find out.

This home happens to be pretty special as it was built by one of Canada’s premier architects, Richard Henriquez. He’s a recipient of the Order of Canada & the Governor General’s Medal and we can see why. This 2006 modern architectural masterpiece had no detail spared and is tucked away in one of Vancouver’s most exclusive neighborhoods.

The 5,186 square-foot home has 3 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and sits on a 14,811 square-foot lot surrounded by stunning landscaping. What makes this home extra special is the fact that it’s a “product of an intense decade-long collaboration between architect & owner, Gordon Shrum”. Not many homes can say that.

When it comes to the inside, the home has three levels and lots of exposed concrete with a juxtaposition of natural finishes. It also has tons of floor-to-ceiling windows which really help to bring the outside in. Oh, and it has two little rooftop gardens as well as a pretty spectacular sprawling patio. We could definitely see you having a party or two here.

Now, this home will cost you a pretty penny, $10.8 million to be exact. But hey, this is Vancouver and we’re not sure that you expected anything lower than that. If you’re curious, you can see more by clicking here. Of course, if you end up the new owner of this home, have us over for a drink. We’d love a tour.
