We really keep thinking that each week we’ve found the coolest home in Seattle. But each week we’re proven wrong especially now that it’s spring and it’s the hottest time of year for Seattleites to sell their homes. This Madrona home of the week is a modern lover’s dream with truly a million-dollar view.

This home was designed by Don Winkelmann of NBBJ Architects and happens to be the only non-commercial project in his portfolio. By that fact alone, this home is already extremely unique. But what really sets it apart is the fact that it’s pretty much entirely glass.

The home sits on a hillside and extends down it providing you with breathtaking and unobstructed 180-degree views of Lake Washington and Mt. Rainer. You can enjoy views on all four levels of the unique loft-style design and integrated storage ensures that you’ll have the perfect minimalist and clutter-free home. And to keep things even more uniform, the floor plan is complete with natural hardwood floors.

Aesthetics aside, this home comes in at over 2200 square feet and has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms making it a great home for a couple. And when it comes to amenities, the home has a commercial-grade kitchen, a top balcony, and a lower-level patio complete with a hot tub. We’d probably never leave home if we lived here.

Now, this home will cost you $1.9 million but compared to some of the other homes in the million-dollar range this one seems absolutely worth the price tag. And we have a feeling that it won’t be on the market long. If you’d like to see more of this home of the week you can click here. Happy house hunting!
