When an iconic, IG-fav chef known for his crazy-ass dishes loaded with meats and cheeses dares to give dairy-free cheese a try, we, like any dedicated foodie, sit up, take notes and follow suit. That’s exactly what happened when legendary Canadian Chef Matty Matheson teamed up with Violife to take the brand’s Dairy-Free Dare (DFD).
Now, you’ve either tasted Violife or you are wondering ‘where the hell have I heard of it.’ In case, you’re the second type, allow us to remind you. Violife is this massive plant-powered cheese brand that has been taking up some serious shelf space at just about every superstore (think Walmart, Sobeys, Loblaws, Metro and many more) in town.
There are some 13 different varieties of vegan cheese the brand is offering, from mozzarella and cheddar style to Feta style and everything in between. With unmatchable levels of gooey, creamy and stretchy, the brand has become a go-to with the vegan crowd- foodies and culinary masters alike.
Violife is championing the planet-friendly, plant-based lifestyle in quite an interesting way. Enter: the Dairy-Free Dare!
So, we told you how the Violife cheese alternatives are insane levels of amazing. And to prove that they match up to all your cheesy (pun intended) expectations, the brand has introed the #DairyFreeDare. They are daring all Canadians to swap out dairy cheese for Violife. And if you don’t love it, they give you a ‘no questions asked’ refund.
As it happened, their first daredevil was Matty Matheson. And if this meat-loving, cheese-overloading culinary-God fell in love with the dairy-free cheese, we mortals clearly stand no chance.
