Alright folks, it’s been a while since we’ve taken a look at the apartment scene in our city, and hoo boy if there aren’t some crazy places for sale right now. The one that caught our eye this week is a 6-decade old Vancouver penthouse, but with an absolutely incredible rooftop patio. Let’s check it out!

The penthouse is located at 1835 Morton Avenue, which is adjacent to English Bay and located on the edge of the West End. Quite literally a stone’s throw from the beach, there are few areas of the city that can rival this one, and especially when you factor in all the local businesses and restaurants nearby.

Now, time to check out the inside. While the space has been kept modern over the years, the overall design is definitely not in line with the open layout you see in most penthouses these days. However, the light wood floors and walls, and finishing touches throughout the apartment means you won’t likely feel cramped while you’re lounging about on a rainy day.

And besides, it’s the rooftop patio that’s really the showstopper here. The result of a $3M makeover, the space now features incredible amenities across a sprawling 3,000 square feet. Featuring multiple BBQs, lounge areas, and even an outdoor shower, the redone patio looks like it would be more at home in Bali than Vancouver. We’re not complaining, though- we like to see personal flair in Vancouver’s more expensive properties.

One final bonus/thing to think about? This space is actually on the opposite corner of the new Douglas Coupland mural planned in the West End. It’s the largest public art piece of Coupland’s to date, and is certain to become a cornerstone of the neighbourhood. And guess what? You’re going to have the best view in the city of it.

That is, if you’ve got the dough for it. In the meanwhile, we’re just hoping the new owners might invite us over for a little tour once they move in. Hey, it’s a longshot, but you never know! To check out this amazing Vancouver penthouse for sale, just click here.

And enjoy the day, folks!
