We usually keep things pretty modern when it comes to the home of the week. Because let’s face it, Seattle is a pretty modern city with all its new builds, box homes, and homogeneous condos. But we have to say, you absolutely can’t beat the charm of an old house. So today we’re going to step back in time to 1900.
Home of the Week: 2904 S Washington St
This home is pretty big at over 3,600 square feet, 6 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. But the nice thing about homes of this age is that they feel homey regardless of size. Plus you really can’t beat the fact that it’s built on a beautifully landscaped, 10,000 square feet flat corner lot in Leschi. That means you get space both indoors and outdoors.

Beyond the space itself, this home has some pretty spectacular heritage details. Just a few include original woodwork and built-in cabinetry, three working fireplaces, and original hardware. But on that note, the home has also had some modern updates made to make it as comfortable as possible.
Now due to this home’s rarity in location, age, and looks, it’ll cost you $1.89 million. And clearly, that’s a lot of money but we have to say we’d rather spend that kind of money on a home with history and quality materials than a shoddy new build. But we also don’t have 7 digits to spend on a house.
