Can you believe it’s already the last couple of days of August?? We sure can’t. And with Labour Day coming up, we’re ready to pull out all the stops to make this long weekend one to remember. Here are 10 of the best things to in and around Vancouver this week (August 29-September 2)
Alicia Keys is one of the world’s best-selling artists ever – so it comes as no surprise that tickets to her world tour (which was postponed from 2020) are getting snatched up left and right. Thankfully, there are still some available on StubHub, and we think they’re well worth the splurge.

In addition to taking home dozens of Grammys in just the span of a few short years, Greta Van Fleet is essentially the Led Zeppelin incarnate. The almost brother band (consisting of only one non-sibling) is a group of 4, and they’re all incredibly talented and already adored by millions globally.

We’re stoked for the return of the iconic PNE Fair this year. And there’s a bunch of incredible artists slated to perform (Steve Miller Band, TLC & Shaggy, and more), this week, as well as the return of local faves like SuperDogs and the pyro-musical finale to look forward to. In terms of food – visitors can expect a mix of mini donuts and classic fair eats, along with some pretty whacky new food and drink items as well.
When: Saturday, August 20th to Monday, September 5th

Science World has partnered with Greendale Acres to launch the whopping 12-acre 2022 Chilliwack Corn Maze, which features a massive T.rex-shape! The corn maze is open from 2 to 9 pm Tuesdays through Fridays, and tickets are $16 per person ($18 each at the door).

The beloved summer fest is sadly on its last leg this Friday, September 2nd. Don’t miss out on the live music, food truck eats, and iconic Stanley Park Brewing beer garden & patio if you haven’t checked them out already! And if you have, we think it’s definitely worth another visit for the grand finale event.

Before this beautiful season ends, why not take advantage of the good weather (and insanely good views on a sunny day) and lace up your running shoes? In addition to having a grid system in most neighbourhoods, Vancouver offers runners/joggers/walkers a relatively flat plane to get some steps in.

Interested in learning a new, beginner-friendly sport before summer’s end? Enter pickleball, the more casual cousin of ping pong and tennis. Luckily, Vancouver has several permanent outdoor courts as well as pop-up courts throughout the city to take advantage of.
