The weekend that follows a long weekend feels a little odd, we’ll admit it. Thankfully, there are plenty of fun things to do in and around Vancouver that will feel like it never ended in the first place. Here’s to hoping the sun and weather align!

We’re kicking off the list with the headliner of the weekend: The iconic return of the Khatsahlano Festival to West 4th. ICYMI,

FVDED in the Park is finally back & coming in extra hot this year – with an unreal lineup. Don Toliver, Illenium, Rick Ross, and Yung Lean are just some of the headliners – don’t miss out! Take the post-Canada Day festivities right on over to Surrey, you know you want to!

Another fun Friday excursion? A concert at the PNE – the psych-rock band Khruangbin is coming to town and we’re ready to end the week on a high note.

The PNE is seemingly at the centre of much of Vancouver’s summer fun, and we can certainly understand why. Another staple is Craft Beer Week, and this year’s event will feature over 150 craft beer and cider tastings, including local faves like 33 Acres, House of Funk, Fernie Brewing Co., Twin City, and much more.

Thanks to Parkbus, you don’t need a license or even a car to visit one of BC’s most beautiful natural attractions. Take a look at their website and book your day pass now – it’s only a 1.5-hour bus ride, but you’ll have memories that last a lifetime. Cool off in the crystal blue waters of Garibaldi and explore over 90 km of hiking trails.

Yes, you read that right. Legendary gelateria La Casa Gelato is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a huge gelato block party, and we can only imagine how many delicious, handcrafted flavours will be in attendance. The event will take place on Sunday, July 10th from 1 pm to 6 pm.

A farmer’s market is always a good idea if you’re looking for something more low-key but still delicious to do over the weekend. And now that the sun is most definitely out, there’s really no excuse not to go.
