Another weekend is among us and that means there are a bunch of fun and exciting things to do in Toronto – both indoors and outdoors. All you have to do is take a look at what’s going on, plan out your weekend, and grab a friend or two.

From club nights to winter activities, here’s what’s going on in our city this weekend:

Distillery District – Après Ski Weekends

Ditch the skis and join Toronto’s Distillery District for some fun Après Ski activities.

Warm up by the fire pits, sip on some hot chocolate (or alcoholic beverages), and munch on delicious treats.

These fun-filled festivities run every weekend until March 21st. Space is a little limited so just know that it is first come, first served and weather permitting.

When: Saturdays and Sundays until March 19th, 12 PM to 6 PM

Hush Hush One Year Anniversary – Latin Saturdays

Hush Hush is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its highly popular ‘Latin Saturdays’ hosted by Your Favourite Duo DJ Mechon and Itz Nico P.

You can expect the best of Reggaeton, Salsa, Bachata, and Club Anthems all night long. And in honour of its successful year, they’re bringing in a TON of surprises!

Ladies are free before 11:00 PM on guest list so make sure to get there early. You don’t want to miss out.

Skates & Sounds at College Park

Toronto’s Barbara Ann Scott Ice Trail at College Park will host a free skate party this Friday with incredible DJs, fire pits, and fun entertainment.

Grab a pair of free on-site skate rentals and listen to the sounds of upbeat live music while you glide the evening away on Toronto’s downtown ice trail.

When: February 24th, 2023, 5 PM to 8 PM
Where: Barbara Ann Scott Ice Trail, 420 Yonge Street

Winter Stations

This single-stage international design competition takes place every year, and contestants must incorporate the Kew and Woodbine beach lifeguard towers into their installations in creative ways.

The winners get to bring their designs to life and showcase them along the beaches for several weeks in the winter and spring.

Winter Stations will be taking place at multiple locations this year and instead of staying in one place, some installations will be relocated to give more residents a chance to visit.

When: February 20th to April 3rd, 2023

Everbloom Music Festival

An all-Canadian mini music festival is coming our way this month. This event will celebrate and showcase Black artists across the country.

Everbloom will feature performances from Canada’s Black musicians, drag queens/kings, and more. It will also have a vendor market focusing on Black-owned businesses in Toronto.

When: February 25th, 2023

Sweet City Fest

Toronto’s month-long festival dedicated to all things sweet is going strong this Family Day weekend.

Enjoy special events and activities including workshops, bake sales, socials, family-friendly Sundays, live music, and much more.

Disney Animation: Immersive Experience

A whole new world, a new fantastic point of view! An exhibit called Disney Animation: Immersive Experience is taking place in Toronto and it’s every bit as magical as it sounds.

You’ll get to see Disney films old and new come to life all around you, including Encanto, Zootopia, FrozenThe Lion King, Peter Pan, and Pinocchio.

The exhibit is open throughout the long weekend and you can purchase your tickets in advance online.

Hamilton

Broadway sensation Hamilton is making a comeback to Toronto and it’s ready to hit the stage this week. The popular musical will run for a few months starting on February 22nd.

“Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, Hamilton has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre,” the description says.

This musical is not only entertaining, but has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.

Steve Aoki – Hiroquest: Genisis Tour

Get ready to dance the night away with the one and only Steve Aoki!

The world-famous DJ will hit the stage at Rebel this week and it’s going to be absolute mayhem.

Skating at Toronto’s outdoor rinks

The season of outdoor skating is well underway! When it comes to outdoor skating rinks, Toronto has no shortage of fantastic options.

From ice trails through the city to DJ skate nights in the heart of downtown, these rinks will make you want to lace up your skates all season long.

Black-Owned Toronto

The Art Gallery of Ontario is hosting a special vendor market on the final weekend of Black History Month.

The market will feature 25 Black owned local businesses, with a range of products including candles, hair care, children’s books, scents and more.

Do some shopping and support local businesses, and then spend the rest of the day exploring the gallery.

Bedouin Soundclash

One of Canada’s most iconic alternative bands will be taking centre stage at The Danforth Music Hall this Friday.

Live music lovers, you don’t want to miss this one.

KUUMBA

Toronto’s largest Black Futures Month celebration is running throughout February, with “stimulating and thought-provoking” discussions and performances taking place all month long.

The program features dance, music, workshops and literary events that highlight contemporary artists and thought leaders from the Afro-diaspora in Canada.
