It’s official, the last week of August is here! And as sad as we are to see it go, we can’t let it keep us from enjoying our lively city. We’ll make the most of it with all the fun things to do in Toronto. Thankfully there’s A LOT to do.

Barbie – Free Flicks

Tuesdays in August are the time to enjoy a free movie by the water!

Harbourfront Centre will have a free flick to enjoy each Tuesday at 8:30 PM. The full lineup can be found here.

This is the last movie of the summer.

Summer Market at the Garden

Held on Thursdays at the Toronto Botanical Garden, this market brings “the freshest local produce, artisanal products, and unique food items from farmers and small businesses in the Greater Toronto Area.”

This is the last event of the summer.

Music in the Garden

Sit back along Toronto’s harbourfront and enjoy some free music this summer.

Music in the Garden is an “intimate live music experience” that’s free to attend.

The last performance will be on August 29th, 2024.

Music in St James Park

No plans on a Thursday evening this August?

St James Park is hosting a free concert series at the Michael Comstock Pavilion in St. James Park from 7 PM to 9 PM every Thursday of the month!

And August 29th, 2024 is the last one.

2024 Toronto Dragon Festival

This festival celebration of Chinese culture is happening at Nathan Phillips Square and will feature food vendors, martial arts demonstrations, lion and dragon dances and live music.

TU Jazz Fest

Live jazz music, anyone?

TU Jazz Fest showcases up-and-coming jazz musicians and the lineup has so many acts you won’t know which one to go to first!

Toronto International Busker Fest

One of the biggest street performer festivals in North America is coming back to Toronto!

Watch talented buskers show off their skills at this beloved late-summer event

Adrenaline junkies, music lovers, comedy fans, acrobatic enthusiasts, and foodie fanatics, you don’t want to miss this.

When: August 30th to September 2nd, 2024
Where: Woodbine Park, 1695 Queen Street East
Cost: Free admission (Charity donations accepted)

Main floor at the ROM

Roam the ROM main floor for free this week! Enjoy live performances and even educational activities for the kiddos.

Performances will take place outside the building on Queen’s Park Plaza and Performance Terrace overlooking Philosopher’s Walk on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

You have until September 2nd to enjoy this and no advance ticket is required.

The Canadian National Exhibition 

We’re ready to enjoy popular rides, games and even musical acts. And of course, the food. The CNE is back this summer and it’s bringing all the excitement to the city for the next two weeks.
